The first hints of Slipknot started in 1992, in Anders Colsefini's basement. Anders, along with Greg Welts, Donnie Steele and Josh Brainard were original members but left and in 1995, the slipknot we know today came into being. In 1996 they released their self titled album, 2001 they released Iowa and 2004 after almost a two year break they released Subliminal verses. At the end of 2005 they released their live album, 9.0 live.

Sometime during 2002 they filmed and released their dvd Disasterpieces.
